UFC President Dana White hosted a conference call for the media this afternoon announcing light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen as the next coaches of The Ultimate Fighter on FX.
In April Jones will then put his title on the line against Sonnen in a bout for the UFC light heavyweight championship. Jones and Sonnen, along with White and an executive from FX took questions from the media on today’s call.
Topics of discussion included why Jones decided to accept the fight with Sonnen, Sonnen’s use of TRT, Sonnen deserving a title shot, TUF moving from Fridays to another weekday, TUF ratings, why other contenders at light heavyweight did not get the title shot and much much more.
