Phil Davis showed off his submission game in his rematch with Wagner Prado, locking up a late anaconda choke to put away the previously unbeaten Prado at 4:29 of the second round.

After a brief feeling out period, Davis ducked under a right hand and put Wagner Prado on his back early in the bout. Davis dominated position on the ground and may have gotten to the back of Prado if not for repeated grabbing of the fence by his opponent.

Each time Prado was able to get back to his feet, Davis put him right back on the mat with a variety of techniques. After a strong dose of right hands by Davis, the bell sounded on the opening round.

A more hesitant Prado started the second round cautiously with his striking as he tried to avoid the takedowns of Davis. Davis used a flying knee to set up a single leg takedown, then went to work with measured ground-and-pound before the two reset in the center of the octagon. After yet another takedown, Davis threatened with an arm triangle late in the round, but it would be an anaconda choke set up from the north-south position that would finally finish off Prado in the rematch.

The victory moves Phil Davis (6-1-1 UFC) to 10-1-1 overall.
