Kentucky’s Hardrock MMA hits milestone with 50th event

UFC 152 has garnered most of the attention for this upcoming weekend but in Kentucky the buzz is about a regional show that is celebrating a rare feat. Hardrock MMA is on the cusp of their four year anniversary and Saturday’s event marks the 50th event held by the promotion.

To celebrate the crew at Hardrock will go business as usual. The gameplan has always been the same, good fights and lots of them.Fight teams from several states are  bringing the party to the Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville  for a night of great MMA.

Headlining the event will be Bellator veteran B.J. “The Boogieman” Ferguson (7-2) who is returning after several month layoff to face fellow Bellator veteran Jeremy “Kamikaze” Myers (4-7) in the main event. Both fighters have fought at bantamweight but will meet at a catch of 140 pounds for this one.

Two amateur title fights will kick off the main card of events as well as four professional bouts. Top gyms in the area such as Baddog MMA, Team GForce, Four Seasons MMA, Louisville MMA amongst others will have their top amateur and professional talent on the card.
