A new bout has been added to the UFC 154 card as Nick Ring (13-1) faces Constantinos Philippou (11-2) in a middleweight battle. The event will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, on Nov. 17.

UFC officials recently announced the bout via their UFC Canada Twitter page.

UFC 154 is expected to feature a headline bout between current welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit. The main card will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on Facebook and FX.

Nick Ring is last fought at UFC 149 in July, where he picked up a unanimous decision victory over Court McGee. The win was a nice way to bounce back from his unanimous decision loss to Tim Boetsch at UFC 135 in September 2011. Before losing to Boetsch the Canadian native was undefeated, building up a 12-fight winning streak on the regional circuit in Canada and the U.S. Ring will no doubt look to put another notch in the win column with a big performance against Philippou.

Constantinos Philippou is currently riding a four fight winning streak, most recently defeating Riki Fukuda via unanimous decision at UFC 148 in July. Prior to that he picked up a unanimous decision victory over Court McGee at UFC on FX 2 in March, and scored a knockout win over Jared Hamman at UFC 140 in December 2011. A big win over Ring would cement the 32-year-old as a serious contender in the middleweight division.
