Mixed Martial Arts in Poland continues to grow and the promotion Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW) continues to lead the charge. KSW 20 took place Saturday in Gdansk and five-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski returned to the ring against 6’5″ heavyweight Christos “The Mad Greek” Piliafas (4-2) of Greece in the main event.

Pudz took the fight to the ground early on, and despite Piliafas’ best efforts to hold on and avoid punishment, the Polish strong man was able to posture up and unleash a barrage of brutality until the referee finally took mercy upon the Greek and stopped the fight at 3:48 of round one. With the victory Pudz improves his record to 5-2, 1 NC.

UFC veteran Houston Alexander also fought on the KSW 20 card, dropping a unanimous decision to KSW light heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz. See the full KSW 20 results.

Fight fans might remember Mariusz Pudzianowski’s beat down of Bob “The Beast” Sapp back in May at KSW 19 — it was certainly something to behold!
