A new bout has been added to the UFC 154 card as Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson (6-1) faces Besam Yousef (6-1) in a welterweight showdown. The event is set to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada on Nov. 17.

The fight was announced on Tuesday during the “UFC Tonight” show on FUEL TV.

UFC 154 will feature a headline bout between returning UFC welterweight champion Georges St.Pierre (22-2) and interim champion Carlos Condit (28-5). The event will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on Facebook and FX/FUEL TV.

“Wonderboy” last fought at UFC 145 in April, where he dropped a unanimous decision against Matt Brown. Prior to that he had been on a six fight winning streak, defeating a string of tough opponents on the regional circuit. Thompson joined the UFC in February, and picked up an impressive first round knockout victory over Dan Stittgen at UFC 143. He will no doubt look to bounce back from his first pro loss by putting in a good performance against Yousef.

Besam Yousef was last in action at the UFC on Fuel TV event in Sweden earlier this year, where he was defeated via second round submission by Simeon Thoresen. Prior to that he had built up a six fight winning streak fighting on the regional circuit in Sweden for “The Zone FC” promotion. Besam will no doubt look to get himself into the win column by defeating Thompson and picking up his first UFC victory.
