Cerrone earned “Knockout of the Night” and the “Fight of the Night” bonus along with Guillard to take in $120,000 in bonus totals. Dennis Bermudez received the “Submission of the Night” bonus with a standing guillotine win over Tommy Hayden in the first round.
UFC officials announced the winners after the event which took place in Denver, Colorado, at the Pepsi Center.
Cerrone and Guillard who are former training partners put on the most exciting 76 seconds you’d want to see in their matchup. Guillard put Cerrone down with a left hook and swarmed with knees and punches only to get hit with a glancing head kick that wobbled the TUF 2 alum. Cerrone then pounced with a devastating right hand that put Guillard down for good on the canvas to seal the KO.
Bermudez was hurt early on in his fight with Hayden by a knee to the head, but was able to latch on to the guillotine choke as Hayden shot in for a takedown to force the submission.
