Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez has a title defense scheduled against Pat Healy on Sept. 29 but the champ took some time out to come to Los Angeles this week for UFC on FOX 4 which takes place Saturday night at the Staples Center.
ProMMAnow.com’s Dan Theodore caught up with Melendez on Friday to talk about his upcoming bout, his recent title defense against Josh Thomson, his thoughts on the UFC bringing in fighters to Strikeforce, Nick Diaz and more.
