Pro MMA Now Radio returns tonight at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) with a star-studded line-up featuring five of pro mixed martial arts’ rising talent from both the UFC and XFC. Hosts Gary Thomas and Jack Bratcher will also preview this weekend’s all women’s MMA Invicta FC 2 card.
UFC welterweight phenom Rory MacDonald , along with John Dodson, the bantamweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 14, will both be joining us on the show. Both men are currently competing for the cover of the Edge Shave Gel can as part of Team Edge 2012.
Rory, fresh off of his 23rd birthday, is getting ready for the biggest fight of his life against legend B.J. Penn at UFC 152, and Dodson is coming off his second straight victory inside the UFC Octagon. Fans can vote for who you want to see on the cover of Edge Shave Gel at www.edgeshave.com/UFC.
It is only eight days until Xtreme Fighting Championships descends upon Charlotte, N.C., for XFC 19. Joining us from the card will be undefeated lightweight “Notorious” Nick Newell. Newell battles David Adam Mays on Aug. 3 in what could be his biggest test to date.
Also from the XFC 19 card, another undefeated fighter will take to the mic as North Carolina lightweight Kevin Forant will join us. Kevin will be squaring off against veteran Joe Elmore as part of the AXS TV televised main card. Incidentally, Elmore was a guest on last week’s show.
And to wrap it up, last but not least, Florida welterweight Nicolae Cury will stop by to discuss his upcoming bout with Roger Carroll which will also be part of XFC 19’s televised main card..
