PORTLAND, Ore. — “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy” takes place this evening at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore., and is headlined with two title fights. In the night’s headliner, Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, representing American Kickboxing Academy, puts his title on the line against Tim Kennedy, of Jackson’s MMA.

In the night’s co-main event, the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title is on the line as undefeated Tyron Woodley puts his undefeated record up against UFC veteran Nate Marquardt in what will be “The Great’s” first fight outside the UFC since he defended his Pancrase title in 2005 in Japan.

“Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy” will broadcast this evening LIVE on Showtime starting at 10 p.m. ET / PT. Roger Gracie vs. Keith Jardine

Round 1 – Left hook from Roger. Left jab from Roger. Jardine clinches up and Roger puts him on his back, Roger on top in half guard. Jardine holding tight, trying to sweep. Short elbow from Gracie. Front headlock from Gracie as Jardine trying to use the cage, he gets up. Knee from Gracie in the clinch. Roger scoops his leg to put Jardine back to the ground. Jardine eats several right hands, another one. Full mount by Gracie. He flattens Jardine out. One minute to go. Jardine holding tight. Elbows from Gracie. Round 2 – Jardine comes forward swinging and gets put on his back. Gracie on top in half guard, lands an elbow and opens Jardine’s cut up again. He drops Woodley with a right and Woodley gets up. Marquardt locks on a guillotine. Woodley escapes, scores with punches, ties up against the cage. Elbow from Nate. Body shot from Woodley, knee from Woodley. Nate attacks, big right to the body, Thai plum, they trade knees. Woodley is bleeding. Big left elbow from Nate. Nice knee from Woodley to the face. Round 3 – Two jabs and a right, again from Woodley. He drops Nate with a right and Woodley goes for the kill trying to pound Nate out. Nate gets full closed guard. Nate grabs a leg. Woodley flattens him on his back. Nate with closed guard, holding on now. Stupid ref calls for action. He just stood them up. What a moron. The crowd boos. Nate stalking. Woodley misses with two shots. Nate swings big and Woodley ducks. Two minutes left in the round. Big leg kick from Nate. Left jab, right to the body, clinch and two rights from Nate. Light leg kick from Woodley. Woodley sticks out his chin and Nate gives him two right hands. Clinch, knee from Nate and a huge elbow. Another elbow, then a right before the bell. Round 4 – Right to the body from Nate. Right to the head from Nate. Leg kick. Counter right from Nate, front kick, leg kick. Nate stalking. Leg kick. Big right from Nate on the jaw, again he catches him with a right. Nate ties him up. Woodley looked hurt. Two big elbows and a big uppercut and Tyron Woodley is out cold my friends…. holy mother of God, Nate Marquardt is back and back in style folks!  Nate Marquardt is the new Strikeforce welterweight champion! (Woodley’s female family member is no longer screaming).  Replay shows three elbows and two big uppercuts put Woodley down. Wow! KO and Fight of the Night.
