Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (32-10) will take on the highly touted Brazilian Glover Teixeira (18-2) at UFC 153 in Brazil according to multiple reports. The event is expected to take place at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro which was also home to both UFC 134 and UFC 142.

This is the final fight on Jackson’s contract and likely his last fight in the UFC after publically blasting the UFC on his Twitter account after a loss against Ryan Bader at UFC 144. Jackson is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his career which include the Bader fight and his loss against Jon Jones in a title fight at UFC 135. Jackson is (4-3) since losing his light heavyweight title against Forrest Griffin at UFC 86.

Teixeira made his long awaited UFC debut in May at UFC 146, taking out Kyle Kingsbury via submission in the very first round. He has won 11 fights via TKO/KO and five fights via submission while competing in numerous grappling tournaments. Teixeira hasn’t lost since a unanimous decision loss to TUF 3 finalist Ed Herman in 2005.

Jackson has been vocal about the UFC’s willingness to match him up with guys that want to ‘take him to the ground and wrestle him’ lately. Although Teixeira has a grappling background, he is quite capable of banging it out on the feet and brings an aggressive style to the cage which should make for an entertaining fight for the fans.
