Okay STOP! I know what you’re thinking; who are some of these guests? Well trust me, Show 144 is packed to the brim with explosive new talent. This week we have three talented up and comers looking to make their mark on the sport and a girl with more then just a pretty face.
Matt Manzanares is a kid that you have to keep an eye on, seriously. With the 125 lb division being so fresh inside the UFC, Matt has to be on people’s lists. Matt is coming off a very exciting KO against Cody Land and improved his record to 5-0. Matt has a very solid striking background which we will for sure talk to him about. (He’s been boxing since he was 8, so he knows how to throw some FIST-ta-CUFFS!) We will also talk to him about his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. We will talk to him about growing up in a family of fighters and being a life long resident of Cheyenne, WY and his plans for the future.I mean Matt is a family man, with a very interesting birthday in the family.
So we’ve had Anthony Pettis on and his little brother Sergio on the show, but did you know the family has a third member that is fighting? Yeah that’s right, Elias Garcia the Pettis brothers’ cousin is also making his own name inside the cage. Wait though there is a catch, Elias only met his cousins a year ago. He currently trains at RoufuSport with his cousins, and Duke Roufus only has high things to say about Elias from his skill set to his solid work ethic. We will talk to Elias about people pushing him to go pro for quite some time, being part of the Pettis family and the pressure that comes with the name, and much more. Our next guest is making a splash on the scene with her amazing looks and she’s only got her toes wet. Shannon Ihrke is a former United States Marine turned mordel/Ring Girl. Shannon has an interesting story, I mean come on it’s not everyday a Ring Girl is a Marine or a Marine a Ring Girl. We will talk to Shannon about her time in the Marines, starting her modeling career, doing shoots for Maxim and Fight Magazine, as well as becoming a spokesperson for ProElite MMA. Okay so Chico Camus was one fight away from earning a contract with Tachi Palace, but he pulled out. You might be asking why would a guy who won his way to the Tournament Final for a contract with Tachi Palace just pull out of the finals? If the UFC comes calling you don’t ignore the call, that’s why! Chico just recently signed with the UFC and is looking to make his debut with the promotion before to long. So wait you might be wondering what happened
with the final for the TPF contract. Well Chico’s teammate Sergio Pettis took the fight and won the TPF contract. We will talk to Chico about being part of one of the best camps in the nation, his teammates, getting the call from the UFC, his debut, and that’s just scratching the surface.
