We have another fight added to the UFC on Fuel TV card, welterweight fighters Duane “Bang” Ludwig (21-13) and Che “Beautiful” Mills (14-5) will face each other at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England on September 29.
Che Mills announced the fight via his Twitter page earlier today.
UFC on Fuel TV 5 will be headlined by a heavyweight matchup between Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic. The main card will air on Fuel TV with the prelims expected to air on Facebook.
Duane Ludwig requires a much needed win in this upcoming fight after back-to-back losses against Josh Neer and Dan Hardy. Neer defeated Ludwig with a guillotine choke in the first round of their encounter at UFC on FX 1 earlier this year. Ludwig was then knocked out by British striker Dan Hardy in the first round of their fight at UFC 146 in May. It is highly likely that Ludwig is fighting for his UFC career in this one and it will be interesting to see how he performs.
Che Mills had his UFC debut last year at UFC 138 where he took on Chris Cope and won impressively with a TKO in the first round earning himself “Knockout of the Night” honors. Unfortunately this was followed by a much different performance against rising star Rory MacDonald at UFC 145 in April this year. Mills was dominated by the young Canadian and ended up losing via TKO in the second round. Che will no doubt look to bounce back from that loss with a big win over Ludwig.
