The UFC on FOX 4 event set for August 4th just got a big fight announced via the official UFC Twitter account today. Ryan Bader will face Lyoto Machida in a light heavyweight matchup that a huge fight for both fighters. However, both fighters already have losses to current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones which really puts it into perspective how good he is at such a young age.

Ryan Bader (14-2) is coming off the biggest win of his career in a unanimous decision win over former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rampage Jackson back at UFC 144. The TUF 8 winner has won two consecutive fights since losing back to back fights and the only two losses of his MMA career in 2011. One of those losses was against the aforementioned Jones, and the other loss was a huge upset loss against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz.

Lyoto Machida (17-3) is coming off a submission loss in his title fight against Jon Jones.Machidadid well in the opening round, arguably winning the round against the dominant champion, but succumbed to a devastating guillotine choke in the second. It was the third loss in four fights for the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.Machidawas (16-0) prior to his past four fights.

The UFC on FOX 4 event is expected to take place on August 4th, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. A middleweight bout between Brian Stann and UFC newcomer Hector Lombard is expected to take place on this card as well.
