UFC officials are yet to make a formal announcement of the bout, this is the first fight rumoured to be taking place at the event . UFC on Fuel 4 is expected to be held on July 14th, with a location still to be determined at this stage.

James Te Huna has won eight out of his last nine fights with his only loss coming at the hands of this weekend’s UFC on Fuel TV 2 main event fighter Alexander Gustafsson. Te Huna lost that fight via submission at UFC 127 which was held in Sydney, Australia, last February. Since that loss, James has scored two impressive consecutive knockout victories over Ricardo Romero and Aaron Rosa. Te Huna now has a record of (3-1) in the UFC and will look to extend his winning streak to three with a victory over UFC veteran Vera.

Brandon “The Truth” Vera enters this fight coming off a victory over Eliot Marshall at UFC 137, the fight went the distance with Vera scoring the decision by winning all three rounds. This was Vera’s first win since 2009, so he will now look to build off that and begin his climb through the light-heavyweight division once again. Prior to the Marshall fight, Vera faced Thiago Silva at UFC 125 and lost by decision. He suffered a very badly broken nose which many stunned fans will remember. Vera was then released by the UFC but it was later revealed that Silva had failed a post-fight drug test, this resulted in the fight being changed to a no contest and the UFC bringing Vera back to the organization.
