UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Bellator 63 takes place this evening at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and features the quarterfinals of Bellator’s Season 6 welterweight tournament.

Bellator 63 will stream LIVE on Spike.com starting at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) with the preliminary card, then move on to the main card which will stream LIVE on MTV2 starting at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT). Special Announcement: It was confirmed tonight that Cole Konrad will defend his Bellator heavyweight title against Eric Prindle at Bellator 65 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. on April 13.

Prindle won the Bellator season five heavyweight tournament by default just last week after his opponent Thiago Santos failed to make weight.

Round 1 – They trade body kicks and punches. Kheyfets scores with a right. Leg kick from Holland. Fast pace to start out. Brief clinch, back to striking. Left jab from Kheyfets. Leg kick from Kheyfets. Right hand from Kheyfets. Nice leg kick from Holland. Then a right. Body kick from Kheyfets. Right hand from Kheyfets. Body kick from Holland. Brief clinch and Holland pushes her to the cage, they trade knees and Kheyfets backs out. Punch kick combo, leg kick from Holland, then from Kheyfets. Punch combo, brief clinch. Leg kick from Holland. Holland catches Kheyfets with a right that puts her on the retreat. Holland with a leg kick but Kheyfets puts her on her back. Body shots from Kheyfets inside full guard. She’s staying very tight with just 20 seconds to go. Holland punches from off her back as time ends. I score it 10-9 for Kheyfets.

Round 2 – Both girls come out throwing jabs. Leg kick from Holland outside, then inside. Big inside leg kick and a right hand puts Kheyfets on the retreat briefly. Right hand, leg kick from Kheyfets. Couple of punches from Kheyfets but she gets dropped from a punch by Holland. Holland tries to follow up with punches on the ground, she stands up. Kheyfets stands up and lands a big left. Holland lands a big shot in return. Big right from Kheyfets. Left from Kheyfets. Holland lands a nice combo and Kheyfets goes down again. Holland stacks her up with punches as Kheyfets tries to defend with her legs. Holland backs up and tells Kheyfets to stand. Kheyfets fires back with punches and Holland scores with a right. Holland drops Kheyfets once again, this time with a big right hand right on the button and Kheyfets crumples to the canvas. She is done as the referee steps in. Kheyfets didn’t go out cold but she went down fast and hard. Heavy hands for this young lady.

Andrey Koreshkov vs. Tiawan Howard

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Howard with a body kick that misses. Spinning back kick from Andrey, Howard with an axe kick. Howard with a karate stance. Big leg kick from Andrey. Left hook and a right from Andrey, body kick. Big right from Andrey rocks Howard and an uppercut turns out the lights and puts Howard on his back. Andrey follows up with a left and a hammerfist and it’s over just like that. Andrey Koreshkov is a protege of Alexander Shlemenko.

Dan Cramer vs. Jeff Nader

Round 1 – Rematch after a controversial stoppage in their first fight which was at 205. This one at 185. Cramer lost the last one after winning two 10-8 rounds and having it stopped early in the third. — Nader cuts  Cramer early with punches. He backs him against the cage. Cramer fights his way out. Big right from Nader, again, right on the chin. Cramer drops Nader, defending with his legs. Cramer dives into his open full guard. Nader punching off his back. Elbows from Cramer. Elbows from Cramer from the top. Couple of right elbows from Cramer, moves to half guard. Nader recovers full guard. Another elbow from Cramer. Nader defending against the majority of shots. I score it 10-9 for Cramer.

Round 2 – Slow start to the round. Big right from Nader and he eats one in return. Another right from Nader.. Another big right from Nader, right from Cramer. Big one two from Nader, followed by several more shots that rock Cramer.  Cramer is wobbled but is able to get the takedown; inside full guard. Elbow from Cramer as Nader tries to hang onto his wrists. Ref calls for action as Cramer doesn’t keep busy enough and stands them up. Thirty seconds to go. Cramer shoots and gets a well timed takedown. Unable to get anything off before the bell as Nader defends. Close round, I score it for Nader 10-9 despite the two takedowns.

Round 3 – Leg kick for Nader.  Right hand from Nader, then a left. Right from Cramer. Inside leg kick from Nader. Nice right, then a combo on the button from Nader forces Cramer to shoot. He puts Nader on his back after eating those shots. Cramer inside full guard looking to land elbows. Right elbow scores. Nader kicks him off, lands an upkick. Cramer gets in half guard, lands a couple little elbows. Hammerfist from Cramer followed by a few short punches. The crowd cheers and chants for Cramer. More elbows and punches from Cramer, staying busy. Nader looks for a kimura but Cramer stays busy enough to take the round 10-9 as I see it. I’ve got the fight 29-28 for Cramer.

How could any judge score that fight 30-27 for Nader? That is completely absurd and Jimmy Smith echoes my sentiments.

Ryan Quinn vs. Marc Stevens

Round 1 – Stevens with a takedown but Quinn gets right up, he leans on Quinn against the cage still looking for the single. Stevens grabs a collar tie and lands a couple knees. They struggle in the clinch, right hand from Quinn. He shoots for the single, sprawl from Stevens, big knee to the head on the way up. Couple of left hands from Quinn. They square up. Kick to the knee from Stevens, Quinn shoots, stuffed. Clinch game and exchange of knees. Quinn backs out, throws a couple punches and shoots, stuffed, back to the clinch game. Stevens has blood on his face and they remain struggling in the clinch until the bell. I don’t know who won that round; I give it a 10-10.

Round 2 – Touch gloves. Leg kick from Stevens. Quinn shoots and puts Stevens on his butt. Quinn inside his full guard. They stand and trade knees and punches from the clinch until Quinn gets the trip takedown. He works the ground and pound from inside full guard, landing punches. One and a half minutes left in the round.Quinn postures up with punches. Ref finally stands them up. Quinn shoots, stuffed, he stays persistent but time runs out. Quinn should have the round 10-9.

Round 3 – Touch gloves. Leg kick from Quinn, he shoots, stuffed. Stevens pushes him to the cage. Body shots from Quinn. Foot stomp from sTevens. Clinch war, knee to the body from Quinn. Trip to the ground with Stevens on bottom. Quinn takes his back, Stevens rolls to his back. Quinn on top in half guard, body shots. Quinn moves to full mount and lands a few punches. Finally lands some big punches to the head and body. Stevens explodes and reverses. Quinn gets to his knees and Stevens goes for an arm, ends up on his back with Quinn in half guard. Stevens gets full guard and lays on the ground and pound until the bell. I score the round 10-9 for Quinn and the fight for Quinn 30-28.

Saul Almeida vs. Matt Bessette

Round 1 – Leg kick from Bessette. They both grab collar ties and land punches. They separate and square up. They trade punches, Bessette trips after a kick and goes down. Almeida lays inside his guard where they trade punches. Bessette throws up his legs but can’t find anything and closes guard. Almeida laying on the punches, they scramble and Bessette is back to his feet. Pushes Almeida to the cage, clinched up. Knee from Bessette, more knees to the thighs, to the body. Almeida with a knee, again, again, again to the body. Bessette tries to pick up a leg for a takedown but no dice. Almeida pushes him to the cage. Knee to the body, to the thigh, again. Bessett with a knee to the body, again. Underhooks from Almeida, he gets a takedown, tries to take the back but ends up on his back with Bessette in full guard landing punches to the body. Almeida stands up and they swing away until the bell sounds. I score the round 10-9 for Almeida.

Round 2 – Almeida shoots, can’t get it but gets underhooks and pushes Bessette to the cage. Knee from Bessette on the break. They square up, leg kick from Bessette. Collar tie and knee to the body from Bessette. Almeida gets the takedown but Bessette gets right up. Almeida looks for another takedown and Bessette jumps into a guillotine. Almeida escapes and is now on top inside full guard. Almeida stacks him as Bessette squirms to get up, gets to his knees then feet. Almeida hanging on, goes for his back. Bessette puts him on his back and stacks him with punches. Almeida with wrist control as Bessette moves into side control. Knee to belly, to full guard. Body shots from Bessette as Almeida gets to his feet, ducks his head and throws combos of punches. I see that round for Bessette 10-9.

Round 3 – Touch gloves. Leg kick from Bessette. Leg kick Almeida. Leg kick from both. They trade punches. Bessette shoots, stuffed. They go back to trading punches. Right hand from Almeida, then a left. Lots of punches being thrown by both guys but nothing significant landing for either guy. Nice combo from Almeida, leg kick. Bessette grabs a single, lets it go. He slips to his back after throwing a knee. Almeida on top inside full guard. Bessette boxes his ears, elbows his head. They get back to their feet and trade punches before the bell. Close fight. I score the round 10-9 for Almeida and the fight 29-28 for Almeida.

Carlos Alexandre Pereira vs. Bryan Baker

Round 1 – This is Baker’s 170 debut. Baker circling on the outside. Knee stomp from Baker. Side kick. Outside leg kick from Carlos. Baker goes for a side kick, eats a counter right. Big leg kick from Carlos. Leg kick from Carlos, Baker shoots, picks up and slams Carlos. Baker on top in half guard. Carlos sweeps him. Baker trying to make his way up, gets to his knees. Punches Carlos in the body. Carlos with a knee to Baker’s body. Baker gets to his feet. Misses a side kick. Head kick from Carlos. Leg kick. Side kick from Baker. Leg kick from Carlos, again. Left counter from Carlos clips Baker, he touches down with a knee, back up to the clinch. Shoulder strike from Baker as Carlos dumps him to the canvas but Baker bounces right up. Clinched against the cage, they trade knees. Carlos with a knee to the body and Baker with another knee. I give the round to Carlos 10-9.

Round 2 – Big leg kick from Carlos. Another leg kick. Push kick to the knee from Carlos. Knee to the body from Baker. Huge leg kick from Carlos. Right hand from Carlos just misses, Baker throws two big overhand rights and they both miss. Trip takedown from Carlos, knee to the body. Baker pushes him down, lands a knee to the body as Carlos gets up. Baker with a body kick and low kick. Boos from the crowd as the pace slows. Leg kick from Carlos. Both guys have slowed their pace. Big leg kick from Carlos, they trade knees. High kick from Baker. Carlos misses with a couple punches. Right to the body from Baker. Big leg kick from Carlos. Loud boos from the crowd. Uppercut catches Baker on the shot. Carlos on top of Baker as Baker throws up his legs for an armlock. Hammerfist to the body from Carlos. Baker goes for the other arm. Baker sweeps using an omoplata. Spinning kick to the body of a downed Pereira — again from Baker. 10-9 Baker as I see that round.

Round 3 – Leg kick from Carlos. Carlos clips Baker with a one two counter. Leg kick. Right from Baker. Big leg kick from Carlos buckles Baker’s leg. Inside leg kick from Pereira. Inside leg kick from Baker and a body kick. Inside leg kick from Pereira. Spinning back kick to the body scores for Pereira, then a leg kick. Leg kick from Baker, shoots. Underhooks from Carlos, prevents the takedown. Baker pushes him to the cage, he gets a body lock from behind, picks Carlos up but sets him down on his feet. Baker hanging on with 1:20 left. Knees to the back of the thighs from Baker. Carlos looking for a standing armlock. Ref separates them. Inside leg kick and side kick from Baker. Leg kick from Carlos and a takedown from Baker, puts Carlos in a crucifix and lands some nice shots before the bell. I think Baker pulled it off 10-9, 29-28 for the win.

Bellator Season 6 Welterweight Quarterfinal
David Rickels vs. Jordan Smith

Round 1 – Leg kick Rickels. Leg kick inside Smith. Another leg kick from Rickels followed by a barrage of punches that puts Smith down and he is done. Rickels lands a one two that rocks Smith and backs him up, then Rickels lands three right uppercuts while holding the back of Smith’s head with his left hand and referee Dan Mirgliotta steps in to save the day. Smith protests but it looked as though he went out and got woke back up with the next punch.

Bellator Season 6 Welterweight Quarterfinal
Ben Saunders vs. Raul Amaya

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Saunders kicks over the head of Amaya, Amaya gets a body lock from behind. Now goes for a single leg. Ben looking at a standing kimura. Ben uses underhooks to get Amaya off the leg and gives him a knee to the head and body. Clinch war, another knee from Saunders to the head. Amaya grabs a leg. Saunders locks on the standing kimura, they spin around like they are dancing and go to the ground with Saunders on top landing punches. Saunders takes his back briefly. Now lands some big knees from the side and punches to the body. Amaya on his knees, gets to his feet and Saunders pushes him to the cage. Clinch war, couple of knees from Saunders. Amaya goes for a single as Saunders steps over and looking to straighten out an armbar. Two big hammerfists from Saunders. Amaya escapes but Saunders transitions to a triangle. Amaya is out of immediate danger as the bell sounds. 10-9 Saunders as I see it.

Round 2 – Amaya comes out hard and fast, shoots. Saunders grabs a collar tie, lands some knees as they are back in the clinch. Saunders with the standing kimura, lets it go, lands a couple big knees. Amaya shoots, turtles, Saunders with punches and jumps on his back with a body triangle, goes for an armbar, and Amaya ends up on top inside full guard. Saunders gets to his feet. Lands a big knee but Amaya catches it and puts him down. Saunders  going for a triangle, to omoplata, to triangle, throwing punches at the same time. Locks up the triangle but Amaya escapes, has a front headlock. Now Saunders on his back looking for submissions. Amaya lands a couple big punches as Saunders gets him inside full guard. Saunders goes for an armbar but Amaya escapes. Saunders punching off his back. Nice elbow from Amaya. Punches and elbows from Amaya. Saunders is so flexible for such a big guy. Amaya postures up with punches before the bell. I score the round for Saunders 10-9.

Round 3 – Amaya’s left eye is almost swollen shut. Body kick from Saunders as Amaya fires off and lands some nice punches. Amaya throws a knee and ends up on his back. Saunders gets full mount, goes for a keylock, transitions to triangle, Amaya out the back door and ends up on Saunder’s back. Saunders rolls to his back and Amaya in full mount landing punches. Saunders gives up his back. Now Saunders turns and ends up on top. Amaya gets to his knees. Saunders riding him, lands punches to the side of the head, takes Amaya’s back witha  body triangle. Saunders flattens him out lands some punches to the side of the head with 1:30 left. Punches from Saunders, flattens him out, big punches, he’s trying to finish. Full mount now from Saunders, attempts a keylock. More punches from Saunders. Amaya explodes and Saunders has his back again. I think he could have finished if he would have kept throwing punches when he was on his back. But Amaya survives. 10-8 round for Saunders as I see it.

Bellator Season 6 Welterweight Quarterfinal
Chris Lozano vs. Karl Amoussou

Round 1 – Amoussou  moving forward as Lozano circles the outside. Boos at the feeling out period. Karl misses a leg kick. Misses a head kick. Shin to chin from Karl, it cut Lozano, although he caught the leg and put Karl on his back. Karl sweeps, he unleashes a swarm of punches, they scramble and Karl takes Lozano’s back, locks in the choke, blood spewing out of Lozano’s face, and he taps out. Two minutes five seconds flat. Beautiful performance from Karl Amoussou and he advances to the semifinals.
