“BAMMA 9: Watson vs. Marshman” took place over the weekend at Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena. The event was headlined with a BAMMA middleweight title fight between reigning champion Tom “Kong” Watson and 22-year-old knockout artist Jack “Hammer” Marshman of Wales.

Watson, age 29, successfully defended his title for the third straight time by taking out the previously undefeated Marshman with ground and pound with just 10 seconds left in the second round. Watson improved his pro MMA record to 15-4, while Marshman dropped to 10-1.
