Bellator 62 took place Friday evening at the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas and featured the quarterfinals of Bellator’s Season six 155-pound tournament. Lightweights moving forward to the semifinals will be Lloyd Woodard, Rick Hawn, Brent Weedman and Thiago Michel.

Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos were scheduled to have their rematch of the Bellator season five heavyweight tournament final on this card after being postponed from last week’s Bellator 61 due to Prindle experiencing “flu-like symptoms”.

However, Santos failed to make weight on Thursday and Prindle was awarded the tournament win by default. That’s an easy $100K for “The American Soldier”, well except for that groin shot by Santos at the end of season five that resulted in a no-contest forced the rematch to begin with.

A scheduled bout between Cosmo Alexandre and Oscar De La Parra was also scrapped.

The Bellator 62 preliminary card streamed LIVE on Spike.com, while the main card aired LIVE on MTV2. Full fight card results and play by play of the main card are posted below.
