On March 6th the Coalition to Legalize Mixed Martial Arts in New York brings you a full day of events to support the legalization of live Mixed Martial Arts in New York State.


Rally to Legalize Mixed Martial Arts in New York

11:30am – 1:30pm – Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Manhattan Office

(633 Third Avenue, NYC, 10017.  Between 40th – 41st  Street)

Michael Benjamin, former NYS Assemblyman and co-sponsor of the Assembly MMA bill. Mr. Benjamin has a long history in New York State government, politics, and human services. He is currently a political columnist and speaker.


Rob Haydak, is the co-owner and President of Atlantic City-based Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Mr. Haydak and his team have built the CFFC brand into one of the nation’s top regional professional MMA promotions. CFFC provides a competition platform in New Jersey for many elite New York-based mixed martial artists.


Mixed Martial Arts Documentary Film Festival

4:00pm – 8:00pm – The Theater Lobby at Madison Square Garden (7th Avenue at 32nd Street).

The Coalition to Legalize Mixed Martial Arts in New York, in association with Madison Square Garden and TaKe On Productions, will host a FREE MMA documentary film festival. 4:00pm – World Premiere of “In Her Corner: The Inside Story of Women’s MMA”

This film features interviews with Munah HollandBjorn Rebney, and Roxanne Modafferi. (Run Time: 32 minutes)

4:45pm – Manhattan Premiere of “New York Mixed Martial Arts”

6:00pm  New York Premier of “Fight Life”

Featuring interviews with Jake ShieldsMiesha TateNick Diaz, and Big John McCarthy. (Run Time: 72 minutes)

Mixed Martial Arts Trivia Challenge

Attendees of the rally and film festival will be challenged to answer MMA trivia questions for a chance to win prizes including MMA memorabilia and gear, and a pair of ringside seats for “Muay Thai at the Mecca” presented byTaKe On Productions at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
