The UFC announced that undefeated heavyweights Phil De Fries and Stipe Miocic have verbally agreed to face one another on the UFC on Fuel 1 card that will take place on February 15th, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Phil De Fries brings an overall record of (8-0, 1NC) into the octagon with seven of those wins coming via submission. He won his UFC debut earlier this year at UFC 138 when he took a unanimous decision win over Rob Broughton.

Stipe Miocic brings an overall record of (7-0) into the octagon with five of those wins via TKO/KO. He won his UFC debut against Joey Beltran back at UFC 136 via unanimous decision.

The heavily rumored Fabricio Werdum vs. Roy Nelson fight was finally announced by the UFC today and will take place at UFC 143 in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 4th.

Fabricio Werdum was last seen in action back in June losing a unanimous decision to top ten heavyweight Alistair Overeem during the Strikeforce heavyweight tournament quarterfinals. Werdum brings an overall record of (14-5-1) back into the UFC octagon where he has a (2-2) career record. Werdum biggest achievement was becoming the first fighter to legally defeat the legendary Fedor Emelianenko.

Roy Nelson was last seen in action defeating a former training partner of Werdum in Mirko Cro Cop back at UFC 137. Nelson has a career record of (16-6) and is 3-2 in his last five fights including his UFC debut to become the TUF 10 winner over Brendan Schaub.
