ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) caught up with the new and improved K.J. Noons this past Saturday night following his unanimous decision win over Billy Evangelista at “Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal” which aired LIVE on Showtime.

Coming off two straight losses, Noons said he felt like he was on the chopping block so it was not only good to win but do it in San Diego in front of his hometown fans.

Noons also shared his thoughts on Strikeforce renewing their contract with Showtime and his faith that Zuffa will continue to help grow the Strikeforce brand.

Anyone who was familiar with Noons before Saturday night witnessed a completely different fighter against Evangelista. He said he wants to continue to develop as an all-around mixed martial artist and explained how incorporating wrestling and kicks into his arsenal expends more energy than when he only relied on his boxing and how caused him to tire later in the fight.

Finally, Noons discussed the toughness and resilience of Evangelista and how he was forced to dig deep to come out on top. — Be sure to check out more exclusive interviews and ProMMAnow.com coverage from “Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal“.
