LAS VEGAS — The TUF 14 Finale takes place this evening at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. The Ultimate Fighter season 14 coaches Michael “The Count” Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller will collide in the main event.

Then, the TUF 14 finalists competing for a six-figure contract with UFC will be Diego Brandao vs. Dennis Bermudez at featherweight, and John Dodson vs. T.J. Dillashaw at bantamweight.

TUF 14 Finale play-byplay:

Louis Gaudinot vs. Johnny Bedford

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Gaudinot with green hair. Leg kick from Gaudinot. One two from Bedord. Bedford then puts Gaudinot on his back and hangs out on top in half guard. Drops an elbow. Gaudinot punches off his back, gets to one knee, eats a knee as Bedford holds his neck. Knees to the body from Bedford as Gaudinot stands up. Elbow and knee to the body from Bedford. Bedford puts him on his back, gets full mount, drops some nasty elbows. Gaudinot tries to cover his face but is taking big shots. Gaudinot in pure defense mode. Bedford with a very solid mount and Gaudinot is trapped. Bedford tries to go for an arm. Gaudinot gives up his back. Bedford has both hooks in, softening Gaudinot up with punches to the side of the head. Gaudinot  tries to get to his feet but gets put back down, and Bedford is back in full mount. Gaudinot gets to half guard on bottom but Bedford lands some more big punches, hammerfists, elbows. He is just dominating Gaudinot. Gaudinot gets to one knee. Bedford takes his back again. Gaudinot gets up just before the bell but he lost that round big time. PMN scores the round 10-8 for Bedford.

Round 2 – Big leg kick from Gaudinot. One two, leg kick from Gaudinot. Double jab and body shot from Bedford, a knee to the body. Bedford shoots and puts Gaudinot down again. Knee to the body as Gaudinot tries to get up. Gaudinot grabs a front headlock but gets dumped back down on his back. Bedford on top in half guard, landing some nice body punches, punches to the face. Gaudinot gets full guard. Bedford postures up, stands over Gaudinot and drops down with a big shot, gets full mount, then back to half guard. Couple of nice punches from Bedford. He postures up and lands several big punches to the face as Gaudinot is in pure defense mode. This is what you call a beatdown. North-south position from Bedford., moves to side control and full mount, big punches and elbows, vicious. I would consider throwing in the towel if I was in Gaudinot’s corner. Bedford goes for an armbar. Gaudinot holds his own arm to prevent it and time runs out. PMN scores the round 10-8 Bedford.

Round 3 -Gaudinot shoots, stuffed. Knee from Bedford, leg kick. Body shot. Leg kick from Gaudinot. Bedford looks so much bigger physically. Knee and punch to the body from Bedford. Gaudinot with a sloppy shot. Gaudinot lands a spinning backfist. Bedford backs Gaudinot against the cage and lands a big punch combo to the face and body, then drops Gaudinot with a right hook to the body followed by a Thai plum and knee to the face. Bedford swarms on him with soccer kicks to the body, punches, and big knees to the body until Steve Mazzagatti finally stops the assault. Very one-sided fight.

Tony Ferguson vs. Yves Edwards

Round 1 – Leg kick from Ferguson. Yves backs him up with a one two. Big inside leg kick from Ferguson. Outside leg kick, again, again. Jab. Yves slips a one two, lands a straight left to the chin snapping Tony’s head back. Front kick from Tony. Nice head movement from Ferguson, lands a right. Yves checks a kick. Head kick from Edwards scores nicely. Inside leg kick from Tony. They exchange in the pocket, Yves gets the better of it. Brilliant left and left leg kick behind it from Edwards as Tony spins around. Leg kick from Tony. Nice right counter from Yves. Leg kick, again from Tony. Big right from Ferguson. Leg kick from Yves. Yves blocks a high kick. Yves slips a combo. Uppercut from Tony lands, inside leg kick, he hurts Yves with a right. Yves scurries out of the way. Tony hurts him again, Yves stands firm, lands a head kick and they are going at it. Yves shoots. Rolling omoplata from  Tony, back up and they swing again before the bell. Awesome fight and a close round! PMN scores the round 10-9 for Edwards.

Round 2 – Uppercut from Tony under Yves’ right arm. Leg kick from Ferguson. Nice left from Edwards. Tony has some power and nice hands. Nice boxing all around. Nice right from Yves, and a head kick, leg kick makes Tony stumble. He’s back up. Flying knee from Edwards backs Tony up. Inside leg kick from Tony. Yves with a leg kick, Tony gives him one back. Leg kick from Tony. His nose is bleeding. Nice jab from Tony, leg kick. Again. Body shot from Yves. Uppercut from Tony. Jab. Nice right, left. Jab. Nice uppercut, leg kick. Nice counter right from Yves, body kick. Jab from Yves. Nice left from Yves, Tony lands a nice counter. Head kick from Yves, just goes over the top. This is a fun fight. Tony switches stances and back. Yves shoots, stuffed. Tony shoots and gets Yves down before the bell and likely winning the round. PMN scores the round 10-9 for Ferguson.

Round 3 – Big leg kick from Edwards. Head kick and a right hand from Edwards, body kick from Ferguson. Righ from Tony. Nice leg kick from Yves, again to the other leg. Superman punch from Tony scores. He punches the knee of Edwards. Body shot from Yves, jab from Ferguson. Inside leg kicks from both fighters. Nice left from Yves finds a home. Big leg kick from Yves, now to the other leg. Nice straight left from Edwards. One two from Yves. Head kick scores. Leg kick from Tony, checked. Hook kick from Ferguson. One minute to go. Close fight. Head kick from Yves scores. Yves shoots, stuffed. Finds a home for a right. Left to the head, left to the body from Yves. NOTES: Regardless if Edwards loses this fight. He just fought three full rounds with a very crafty veteran and made it a super competitive fight. It will be a great learning experience for Tony Ferguson.

T.J. Dillashaw vs. John Dodson

TUF 14 Bantamweight Finals

Round 1 – Dillashaw misses a front kick. Dodson connects with a quick left hand. He slips a T.J. combo. Body kick from TJ. TJ blocks a body kick. Dodson with a leg kick counter. Leg kick from TJ. Nice left hook, head kick from Dodson, coming in at great angles. Leg kick. Dodson connects with a huge counter left hook that drops Dillashaw to the ground. Dodson goes in to finish him off with some hammerfists, but only lands a couple before referee Herb Dean was already on his way in to stop it and John Dodson is the new season 14 bantamweight Ultimate Fighter. Look out 135er’s, Dodson is quick and powerful and extremely athletic. He could be a real force in the UFC. After the stoppage he runs up the cage wall for a high flying backflip, then runs to the other side and does a backflip with a twist, landing in a forward somersault. He is extremely excited after being presented The Ultimate Fighter trophy from UFC President Dana White.

Diego Brandao vs. Dennis Bermudez

TUF 14 Featherweight Finals

Round 1 – Leg kick from Brandao. Bermudez backs him to the cage, lands a right. They move to the center. Bermudez with a front kick, catches a kick and puts Brandao down. Brandao is up, eats a big right. Lands a one two coming off the cage. One two from Bermudez, body kick from Brandao. Overhand right from Brandao. Jab, jab, right from Bermudez. Left to the body, overhand right drops Bermudez. He gets back up and comes at Brandao, he seems okay. Big leg kick from Brandao. Combo from Bermudez and Brandao counters with a huge left hook to the head that connects solid.  Flying knee from Brandao as Bermudez shoots, he goes down on his back. Brandao attacks, has a body lock as Bermudez gets up, suplex. Bermudez gets up. Brandao just misses a big head kick. Great fight. Leg kick from Brandao. Brandao comes in swinging but gets caught with a big right and gets dropped. Bermudez attacks with big punches. Brandao gets full guard. Bermudez postures up with big big punches. Brandao throws up an armbar and finishes Bermudez as he taps.

Fight of the year candidate! Absolutely beautiful beautiful powerful and engaging back and forth fight and a great comeback from Brandao after getting dropped badly. My god! What a way to end TUF on Spike. This card has been amazing. These TUF fighters are going to be really great additions to the UFC. Bermudez’s arm may be broke. Brandao is part of the Jackson/Winkeljohn camp.

Michael Bisping vs. Jason Miller

This bout is scheduled for 5 rounds (non-title bout).

Round 1 – “This man is a fist fighter,” says Bruce Buffer about Jason “Mayhem” Miller. Bisping gets booed badly. Mayhem is smirking, Bisping looks pissed. Leg kick from Miller. Tries to shoot, stuffed. Body kick from Mayhem pushing the action. Miller pushes him against the cage. “USA” chants the crowd. Thai plum from Miller with his back to the cage. Bisping catches a body kick. Right hook from Miller. Overhand right from Miller. Miller looks in great shape. Left from Mayhem, shoots, gets Bisping down on his back. Bisping has never been submitted. Miller has Bisping’s legs trapped with a triangle lock. Bisping’s back to the cage. Body shot from Mayhem. Bisping is talking to the ref, wanting to get up but Mayhem is in a very dominant position. Miller landing some shots, gets full mount but Bisping uses the cage to get up. Miller is keeping the pressure on. Leg kick from Miller. Bisping attacks with punches. Miller with a left jab. Nice counter left by Bisping connects, then a counter right. Miller’s punches are kind of sloppy, but lands a left hook. Left jab from Mayhem. Right jab from Bisping. Good fight. PMN scores round one 10-9 for Miller.

Round 2 – Miller smiling as always. Jab from Miller, blocks a high kick. Knee to the body from Miller as Bisping stuffs a takedown. Bisping connects with a left, right. Inside leg kick from Bisping. Miller shoots a double, switches to a single. Pressing Bisping to the cage. Bisping turns him around, backs out. Miller with a left jab, blocks a head kick. Accidental head butt from Miller. Parsons telling Miller to calm down. Bisping got a bit of a knot on his head from the butt. Overhand right from Miller. Miller slips , eats a right after getting back up. Miller looks very nervous. Takes a knee to the body. His punch technique looks very sloppy. Miller goes for a single. Bisping punches his body. Bisping gets free and they square off. Body shot from Bisping. Big shots from Bisping to the face then body. Miller is having a big adrenaline dump it seems quite obvious. Bisping is picking Miller apart with strikes. He’s almost in pure defense. Thai plum and knee to the face from Bisping. Miller talking crap telling Bisping to come on but Bisping is beating him up badly, it’s getting very ugly. His face is busted up badly. Big elbows from Bisping as time runs out. Miller looks like a beaten man. I think this fight was such a huge opportunity for Mayhem, a lot of pressure to rise to. PMN scores the round 10-8 for Bisping.

Round 3 – Miller comes out swinging but eats a combo from Bisping. He flops to the ground, takes a kick to the body. Ref lets Miller up. Right hand from Miller. Left from Miller. Leg kick from Bisping. Nice right, left from Bisping. Big right from Bisping. Another right from Bisping. Miller with very little head movement when Bisping gets close, he just covers up and takes the shots. Time is called after Bisping takes an eye poke. Leg kick from Bisping. Miller shoots for a single. Bisping escapes and takes top position as Miller turtles up. Bisping pours on the beating with big punches and knees to the body. Miller gets full guard but is taking a pounding. Mazzagatti standing right over them ready to stop it on a second’s notice. Miller looks exhausted. Mayhem turtles up again and Bisping just pounds away, knee to the body and Mazzagatti finally saves Miller. Miller says to his corner, “I was just tired.”
