With a very busy schedule ahead in 2012 GG has started to begin the preparation of many of their star fighters.  In Golden Glory Breda Holland under guidance of iconic trainer Cor Hemmers we can see Gokhan Saki, Errol Zimmerman, Filip Verlinden, Dennis Stojnic all in the gym together and training hard for the new season.

Golden Glory star Gokhan Saki will fight the highly praised Bad Boy Badr Hari in Holland on the 28th of January. On that same date clear across the globe GG heavyweight fighter Olav Einemo will return to the Octagon for the UFC in Chicago.

Glory World Series winner Siyar Bahadurzada, will make his UFC debut on the main card for UFC Brasil.

Jason Jones will make his debut in the English fighting organisation Bamma on December 10th.

In their Bucharest Gym, trainer Horia is preparing many new talented GG fighters for 2012 following his success with Romanian fighters in 2011. Golden Glory Germany and Moscow are doing really well while the most interesting training camp is at the Golden Glory gym in Pattaya Thailand (see photo’s).

The first day of the camp was a murderous heat wave at over 100 degrees outside and even hotter inside the gym as heavyweights Olav Einemo, Dion Starring, Jason Jones, Sergey Kharitonov put in work along with other teammates fresh off his “Its Showtime” 70kg max win, Robin van Roosmalen.   All together preparing for upcoming fights. It is rumored that Sergey Kharitonov will fight on NYE in Japan.   The schedule is hectic, but Thailand is the ideal place for GG, where many  great fighters prepared for their fights in K-1, Dream, Strikeforce, UFC…etc

Martijn de Jong is passionate yet brutal in his trainings sessions preparing his team.  The sparring with Einemo and Jason Jones as well as Sergey and Dion changing partners each round is a nice performance to watch.  Robin van Roosmalen is quit a surprise, coming in as a judo black belt and 8 man $50k tournament champion Euro GP winner in 2011.  He moves very well on the ground and could be an MMA surprise in 2012.  Watching the camp from an outsiders perspective, you can see the unity and compassion they all truly show as a Team.

In the past weeks the biggest obstacle was not the heat or the training but the speed of wayward scooters and drunken driving skills of the locals in Thailand.   Trainer Martijn got hit when he stood still at a traffic light, Jason Jones was bumped and made a nasty slip which resulted in parts of his skin hitting the streets of Pattaya permanently.

The week ended with a boat trip to a deserted island with the Golden Glory boat landing on the exotic white beaches on clear waters.  All enjoyed a well earned and well rested day at the end of the week under the scorching Thai sun.

Happy Birthday to Golden Glory scout Johnny Buyen, it was a treat to celebrate with and watch the team in Pattaya come together for another part of the Golden Glory Family.  They even gave Johnny the nick name Johnny Walking Street, for his excursions and adventurers personality on the busy streets of Thailand.  These pictures we can not publish…

Semmy Schilt has been quite active outside the ring, as his raving reviews in the 3D Dutch hit movie Nova Zembla can attest. Semmy Schilt made his mark in the acting world in Holland (after his small part in Transporter 3 and Amsterdam Heavy) he now had an outstanding performance in this first 3D movie in Holland cast next to Victoria Secret supermodel Doutzen Kroes.  He looks forward to getting back into the fight game immediately as well as further explore his options in Hollywood.

Golden Glory is not only a training facility or just some management it was clear during this trip and looking at these pictures they are United and stronger than ever.   Even with all the great accolades over the last 12 years, 2012 looks to become the best year for the Internationally successful Golden Glory.
