All fighters made weight without issue Friday at the “UFC on FOX: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos” weigh-ins at the Santa Monica Civic Center in California. Co-headliner Ben Henderson did have to strip down behind a towel, however, to make the 156 pound lightweight non-title fight limit.

Both Cain Velasquez, the UFC heavyweight champion, and no. 1 contender Junior Dos Santos looked in great shape and ready to go for tomorrow’s title fight live on FOX. Dos Santos weighed in at 239 pounds, while the shorter stockier Velasquez tipped the scales at 249 pounds (see full weigh in results).

It’s interesting to note that when Velasquez fought Brock Lesnar in his last fight at UFC 121 in Oct. 2010 he weighed 244 pounds, 5 pounds lighter than his weight for this fight. There were rumors that he suffered a mild injury during his camp for this fight.

Dos Santos last fought in June against Shane Carwin and he weighed 239 pounds for that fight, the exact same weight he is for this one. Could this mean Velasquez is not quite in as good a shape as he was against Lesnar, or did he beef up a little on purpose?

If you missed our LIVE video stream of the weigh-ins, the archive video should be available shortly.
