LAS VEGAS — A welterweight match-up between TUF 7 veteran Matt Riddle (5-3) and former Shooto champion Luis “Beicao” Ramos (19-7) has been added to UFC 141 which takes place December 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

UFC president Dana White announced Tuesday both camps had verbally agreed to the bout.

Although the 25-year-old Riddle’s entire pro MMA career has been fought inside the UFC Octagon, his job with the promotion could be on the line at UFC 141.

The Pennsylvania native dropped unanimous decision losses to Sean Pierson at UFC 124 last December and then again to Lance Benoist at UFC Fight Night 25 in September. His record stands at 5-3 inside the Octagon.

Ramos, 7 years the elder of Riddle, is a Team Nova Uniao fighter and has been fighting professionally since 2001. He vacated his Shooto middleweight title earlier this year when he signed with the UFC.

Unfortunately for Ramos, in August he lost his UFC debut in front of his home crowd in Rio at UFC 136 when fellow Brazilian Erick Silva stopped him just 40 seconds into the first round via TKO.

Headlining UFC 141 is a heavyweight bout between former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and former Strikeforce  heavyweight champion and K-1 2010 World Grand Prix champion Alistair Overeem, who is making his UFC debut.
