This Saturday, Oct. 15, Warrior One MMA presents “W-1: Reloaded” at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. For $9.99 fans can order the LIVE online pay-per-view Saturday on www.gfl.tv starting at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).
“W-1: Reloaded” features a welterweight main event match-up between longtime UFC vet Marcus “The Irish Hand-Grenade” Davis (20-8) and The Ultimate Fighter season 13 vet Chuck “Cold Steel” O’Neil (8-4).
Davis is coming off a first round guillotine choke submission win over Travis Coyle at Global Fight League 13 in September. He has won three straight fights since being released from the UFC following a third round knockout loss to Jeremy Stephens at UFC 125 in January.
The bout with Davis will mark O’Neil’s first fight since losing a unanimous decision to Chris Cope at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale in June. Prior to that he had won three straight fights; two via TKO and one by submission.
In the “W-1: Reloaded” co-main event, top Miami lightweight Luis “Baboon” Palomino (16-7) will take on Orlando’s “Little Tiger” James Edson Berto (16-8-1).
Palomino has won seven of his last 10 fights and was on a three fight win streak before being submitted by Pat Curran at Bellator 46 back in June. Berto is 5-5 in his last 10 fights and is coming off a first round heel hook submission victory over Greg Loughran at Art of Fighting 7 in April.
Also on the card is a women’s MMA bout between Kim Couture (3-5) and American Top Team’s Suzie Montero (0-0) who is making her pro debut. Couture has dropped her last two bouts, most recently tapping out to a leg scissors choke in the first round against Sheila Bird at AX Combat 1 in July.
