Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney speaks with ProMMAnow's Susan Cingari post Bellator 50.

ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) reporter Susan Cingari sat down with Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney this past weekend following Bellator 50 at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fla.

Rebney shared his thoughts on the UFC moving from Spike to FOX, the UFC’s purchase of Strikeforce and what it means for Bellator, the fighters and the fans. Rebney also responds to the question of when MMA fans might see Bellator on Spike TV.

Rebney weighs in on the “Nick Diaz situation” and gives his opinion on how the UFC handled it. He also responds to the question of where he would like to see Bellator five years from now. Rebney interestingly points out that Bellator is at a “cash flow break even position” and says the UFC is the only other promotion “in the history of our sport” to accomplish that.

Rebney said he would like to eventually take Bellator international with live events and expand into more countries via television. The CEO also talked about the psychology of fighters, his busy schedule, what it was like having Shaq at the show and he even lets us in on his two favorite movies.
