Rebney talks about the middleweight tournament winners from Saturday night and responds to the question if this tournament is just lining up someone to get slaughtered by Hector Lombard, the current Bellator middleweight champion.
Rebney compares Lombard to UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva, says he is in a league of his own, and it will probably take someone similar to Chael Sonnen to beat him.
Rebney also compares the Bellator matchmaking process to that of the UFC and explains his philosophy on matchmaking and why Bellator uses a different model. Finally, Rebney says he is a “big fan” of Dr. Ferguson and the good Doctor says they might have to talk later… could we see Dr. Ferguson possibly fighting for Bellator in the future? We can only hope!
