The next UFC event entitled UFN: Shields vs. Ellenberger will be taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 17(my birthday btw). It should be a very good FREE event that will air on the SPIKE beginning at 9pm ET. This will be the UFC’s first event in Louisiana since 2002. Here’s a quick look at the lineup:

- Cody McKenzie vs. Vagner Rocha
- Evan Dunham vs. Shamar Bailey
- Matt Riddle vs. Lance Benoist
- Ken Stone vs. Donny Walker
- Daniel Roberts vs. TJ Waldburger
- Justin Edwards vs. Jorge Lopez
The main event will consist of two top ten welterweights in Jake Shields and Jake Ellenberger. This is primarily a fight between a very good grappler and a wrestler with knockout power. Huge fight for both fighters as Shields looks to stay within range of another title shot and Ellenberger moving near title contention with a win over Shields. Shields just lost his father/manager earlier this week and will not pull out of the fight, so it’ll be interesting to see how he performs with a heavy heart. This event will feature two TUF winners on the main card. TUF 12 winner Jonathan Brookins and TUF 11 winner Court McGee will look to make a name for themselves. Two MMA veterans in Alan Belcher and Jason MacDonald will lock horns to round out the main card.
