Two title fights headline Hard Rock MMA 40 this Saturday in Shepherdsville, Ky.

Hard Rock MMA 40 will take place this Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville, Ky. Twenty-two professional and amateur mixed martial arts fights are currently scheduled for the card featuring some of the best up-and-comers and most respected gyms in the area. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fights start at 7:30 p.m.

Headlining Hard Rock MMA 40 will be two title fights, including a welterweight title bout between current 170-pound champ Michael Seals, fighting out of Four Seasons MMA in Lexington, taking on Andy Burgess, representing United Martial Arts.

The second title fight on the card is for the vacant Hard Rock MMA super heavyweight championship. Team Oxendine’s John Hernholm will take on Baddog MMA’s Chris Boyd. Both these big boys are undefeated and one of them is going to walk out as the biggest and baddest man in the Bluegrass State.

The main event will be a light heavyweight bout between Chad Deener, making his pro debut and fighting out of E-Town Beatdown, taking on Josh “The Pitbull” Blanchard, fighting out of Baddog MMA. Blanchard is undefeated at 2-0 and is coming off a first round knockout over Justin Gamble back in February.

Baddog MMA, E-Town Beatdown, Performance Edge and many more gyms have funnelled their fighters into this event for a showcase of talent. The festivities kick off Friday night with the weigh-in show at Sports and Social Club located on 4th Street in Louisville. The after party will be held at the same location immediately following the event Saturday night.
