LUBBOCK, Texas – “King of the Cage” is returning to Lubbock, TX on August 27, 2011 at the Lubbock Civic Center. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the first fight starts at 7:00 p.m.
This show will be second, King of the Cage, show promoted in Lubbock, TX! Out of the hundreds of MMA promoters all around the world, no company on earth has promoted more professional MMA fights than “King of the Cage” with 2,460 official professional bouts to its credit.
King of the Cage promotes shows in America, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, United Kingdom, Canada, and South America.
The show will consist of 10 professional matches with the main event featuring Tony “The Gun” Bonello and Wes “The Soldier” Combs. Both fighters come to the cage with 18 professional wins and a history of serving up knock outs and killer submissions. This looks to be a strategic war of talent and experience between two top MMA pros.
The Co-Main event will feature the current King of the Cage Welterweight World Champion, Tim “Dirty Bird” Means, verses Cody Phister.
In addition to the main events, some of the local fighters to watch on this epic fight card are: Anselmo Martinez, Mark Martinez, Zach “Wolverine” Haney, “Nasty” Nate Sells, Ben Janeke, Zavier “Spawn” Garcia, Dillon “Bam Bam” Rouse and Gabe “Aquaman” Garcia.
King of the Cage is a global powerhouse of mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions featuring elite professional fighters from around the world in hand-to-hand battles of skill and honor.
