Tachi Palace Fights has announced that middleweight champion David Loiseau has been forced out of his scheduled title defense at TPF 10 “Let the Chips Fall” with an undisclosed injury. Challenger Giva Santana will stay on the card and take on former WEC champion Doug Marshall. The card takes place Aug. 5 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif..

In his last outing, Marshall made his TPF debut and lost his first fight since dropping his WEC title to Brian Stann in 2008. He fell victim to a knockout blow from TUF veteran Kyacey Uscola at TPF 6. The Visalia Fight Club product defeated Lodune Sincaid to claim the WEC light heavyweight title before Zuffa ownership. He defended the belt twice before losing it to Stann.

Santana is correctly nicknamed “The Arm Collector.” Of his 15-career victories, he has finished 12 fights via the armbar. The M-1 Challenge and Elite XC veteran has won four-straight fights since suffering his first defeat via split decision against Jaime Jara in 2008.

The stacked Tachi Palace Fights card will feature a pair of title fights. #6 flyweight Darrell Montague will defend his title against #3 Ian McCall. Former Bellator champion Joe Soto and Eddie Yagin will fight for the vacant featherweight title.
