Bellator 48 will bring the promotion’s Summer Series to a close on Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. The main card will air LIVE on MTV2 and include the finals of the Summer Series featherweight tournament and two heavyweight special attractions.

Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney commented on returning to Uncasville:

“Mohegan Sun has been a fantastic venue partner for us since our first season, so to be able to bring this type of stacked fight card to our East Coast fans was a no-brainer.”

Bellator announced Tuesday the full line-up for the non-televised preliminary card which they always try to fill with the best local talent available.

Fighting at middleweight will be Danbury native and four-time Bellator veteran Dan Cramer (8-2) taking on The Ultimate Fighter season seven veteran John “Red Velvet” Clarke (8-2) of New Haven.

In a lightweight showdown, North Haven gym owner Andrew Calandrelli (4-3) of Team Renzo Gracie will make his Bellator debut against Philadelphia native Matt Nice (2-1).

At welterweight, Brett Oteri (8-1) takes on Danbury native Ryan Quinn (4-2-1) who is 2-0 fighting for Bellator at the Mohegan Sun.

In light heavyweight action, Nik “The Machete” Fekete (3-1) returns to the Bellator cage to take on heavy-handed Mark Griffin (4-2-1).

Finally, competing at featherweight, Saul “The Spider” Almeida (9-1) of Team Black House and a 2010 Bellator open tryout winner, will take on Cage Titans FC bantamweight champ Tateki Matsuda (5-2) of Tokyo, Japan.
