Dan Bobish’s “Ultimate Cage Battles” returned to Parma, Ohio, Saturday night with “UCB 6: Bombs Away”. The main event featured a middleweight match-up between Cleveland submission specialist Matt Masterson (9-3) and Team Vision MMA’s Marcus Finch (4-4-1), out of Cincinnati.
After three hard-fought rounds and several near submissions, Masterson was awarded the unanimous decision, making it his third straight victory of the year.
In the co-main event, Marcus “Iron Dragon” Reynolds (8-7) made a successful return to UCB with a first round knockout of Brandon Ezzo (5-5), a win that earned him a September match-up against the night’s main event winner Matt Masterson.
In the UCB featherweight tournament semifinals, Justin “The Hawk” Steave (1-0) and Josh “El Cabron” Tyler” (3-0) both earned submission victories and will face each other for the 145-pound championship on September 24 when the UCB returns to Parma.
