DALLAS – The “Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum” fighter weigh-ins will take place this evening at Victory Plaza at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Starting at 6 p.m. ET ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) will provide LIVE results and updates as each fighter steps on the scale. Fight fans with HDNet can watch the weigh-ins live on TV at 6 p.m. ET and then again via replay at 9 p.m. ET.

“Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum” takes place Saturday at American Airlines Center and features heavyweight tournament quarterfinal bouts between Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum and Josh Barnett vs. Brett Rogers.

Pride FC fans will recall Overeem, the current Strikeforce heavyweight champ, actually suffered a submission loss to Werdum back in 2006. As he stepped off the scales today, Overeem was asked what the difference is between now and the first time he fought Werdum. Overeem simply said,

“The difference between now and then is about 40-pounds of whoop-ass.”
