Team dos Santos’ Ramsey Nijem (4-1) will face off with fellow welterweight Tony Ferguson (10-2) of Team Lesnar at the TUF 13 Finale this Saturday, June 4, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter wrapped up this evening on Spike TV with Nijem taking out Team Lesnar’s Chris Cope and Ferguson taking out fellow teammate Chuck O’Neil. Both Nijem and Ferguson finished their semifinal bouts via TKO, Nijem in the second round, and Ferguson in the third round.
Ramsey’s first fight of the season took place on episode four where he scored a second round submission over Charlie Rader via rear-naked choke. In episode eight he defeated Clay Harvison in the first round with the same submission maneuver.
Ferguson’s road to the finale started with a first round up-kick knockout of Justin Edwards on episode six. Then he defeated Ryan McGillivray via first round knockout due to punches on episode nine.
Nijem and Ferguson will be competing for the traditional “Ultimate Fighter” prize, a six-figure contract with the UFC.
