DREAM: Fight for Japan” took place May 29 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event saw Masakazu Imanari and Hideo Tokoro advance to the Bantamweight tournament finals by winning two fights in one night.

Also, submission ace Shinya Aoki lived up to his reputation by tapping out UFC vet Rich Clementi with a face lock at 2:17 of the second round in a lightweight bout, and Joachim Hansen edged out Mitsuhiro Ishida via split decision in featherweight action.

A portion of the proceeds from the event is supposed to be used to help victims of the recent earthquakes and tsunami that devastated Japan. HDNet is expected to air “DREAM: Fight for Japan” via tape delay this coming Friday, June 3.
