“UFC 130: Jackson vs. Hamill” takes place this evening at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., and features Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Matt “The Hammer” Hamill in the light heavyweight main event.

Miguel Torres vs. Demetrious Johnson
Round 1 – Torres has a six inch height advantage. Johnson is only five-foot-three inches tall. Leg kick from Johnson. Again. Again on the inside. Torres checks the next one. Clinch, Torres takes him down with a trip but he’s back up and puts Torres on his back where he sweeps Johnson. Torres on top in half guard. Torres looking to pass guard, moves to side control. Looks for full mount, but ends up in half guard. Torres with punches to the gut. Torres gets back to side control but Johnson sweeps. Torres sweeps, looks for a leg lock, has hold of Johnson’s foot. He grabs Torres’ foot but he escapes and Torres ends up on his back with Johnson inside his full guard. They scramble and Torres looks to lock up a choke before the bell. Round 2 – Leg kick from Johnson. He comes in swinging lands a couple punches. Johnson gets a takedown. Heels to the back from Torres. Johnson inside Torres’ full guard. Torres sweeps, back to his feet. Dirty boxing, Torres goes for a knee and ends up on his back. Johnson sweeps. torres throws up a triangle, locks it up but Johnson is out. SPECIAL UPDATE: Brock Lesnar had surgery yesterday. He had about 12 inches removed from his colon and is doing good. Now he just has to recover and Dana White said he hopes to have Lesnar back by the first of the year.
Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago
Round 1 – Stann swings first one two leg kick. Big leg kick. Leg kick from Stann. One two counter from Stann. Leg kick from Stann. Santiago trips to the ground and Stann lets him up. Big leg kick from Santiago. Stann returns it. Leg kick from Stann. Big leg kick from Stann . head kick from Santiago blocked. Leg kick from Stann, counter one two from Stann. Another leg kick from Stann. Chants of USA start. Huge left hand from Stann drops Santiago to his back. Stann goes for the kill. Lands another big shot. Stann inside Santiago’s guard, big hammerfists from Stann. He lands another right. Stann with another right, an elbow, another elbow, a right, more punches. Stann tempering his assault now. Round 1 – Story swings first. Right hand and a leg kick from Alves. Story shoots, pushes Alves to the fence, and pulls his legs out. Alves up, keeps a hand on the ground. Knees to the thighs from Story. Story with more knees to the thighs. Knee to the calf – ouch! Alves with underhooks and gets his own takedown. Story right back up. Story swings a couple shots, shoots, stuffed. Foot stomp and knee to the thigh from Story. Ref separates them. Body shot from Story. Overhand left. Right hand from Story, clinches up Alves and puts him against the cage. Alves being too tentative when he had the chance to strike. Elbow from Alves but Story goes off with a flurry of punches that score. They separate. Story with some nice punches and a knee. Alves fires back and lands a couple nice punches. Round 2 – Leg kick from Alves. Misses with an uppercut. Story shoots, presses Alves against the cage, clinched up. Alves backs out and away. Travis Browne vs. Stefan Struve
Round 1 – Browne with a leg kick and Struve gives him one back. Body kick from Struve counters a leg kick. Clinch against the cage, Browne with his back to the cage. He turns Struve around, knees to the body from Browne. Ref separates them. Right hand from Browne. Struve checks a leg kick. Front kick from Struve. Left jab from Struve. Body kick from Struve is caught. Browne just misses a big punch. Right punch from Struve, front kick. Browne takes Struve down and has half guard. Two minutes left in the round. Struve trips Browne and locks on a D’arce, lets it go, switches to an Anaconda, but Travis gets out and stands up, leg kick from Browne and Struve is allowed up. Left hand from Browne as he walks Struve down. Struve attempts a flying knee but Browne flattens him with a huge right hand Superman punch and this fight is over. Browne follows up with a hammerfist. Browne remains unbeaten. He’s an Alliance MMA guy, keep an eye on this fella.

Round 1 – Mr. Dan Hardy is in Roy’s corner. They touch gloves. Mir with a left hand and Roy covers up. Roy pushes him against the cage. Knee from Mir. Mir drops levels for a single but Roy defends it. Knees from Mir. Roy pushes him against the cage. Knee from Mir. Tie clinch knee to the chin from Mir. Head kick from Mir is blocked. Roy tags him with a right hand. Clinch and Roy presses against the cage. Knees to the thigh from Roy. Roy leaning on him. Three knees to the chin from Mir, another one. Another. Roy presses him to the cage. Two minutes to go. Clinch battle right now, ref calls for action. Roy backs out and swings big, lands an uppercut. Head kick from Roy is blocked. They exchange big shots. Covering Roy’s mouth. Roy gets to his feet. Clinched against the cage. Knee from Mir. Mir drops levels, gets the takedown. Roy gets up as Frank hangs on. Roy gets underhooks and backs out. Deep breath from Roy. Big body kick and punch from Mir. Roy with a big right hand scores, and shoots. Mir stuffs it. Joe Rogan won’t shut up about Roy’s weight. Kinda pisses me off to be honest. I score this round 10-9 for Mir.
Round 3 – Both guys look tired. Touch gloves to the cheers of the crowd. Knee to the head from Mir. Front kick from Mir. Body kick and knee from Mir. Mir gets a double leg and starts landing some small quick elbows. Mir moves to side control. Roy gets to his feet with two and a half minutes to go. Knee to the chin from Mir. Mir with another double leg takedown. Elbows from Mir from top position. Roy gets up though. Clinched against the cage. Mir drops levels and puts Roy down again. Big elbow from Mir, two more as he holds one of Roy’s arms down. Another big elbow. Roy gets to his knees and stands up one more time with 23 seconds to go. Ten seconds and that’s it. They hug it out. I score the round 10-9 for Mir and the bout 30-27 for Mir.

Leg kick from Hamill. Left hook from Hamill. Knee from Rampage. Hamill clinches against the cage. They separate. Hamill looks so tentative and uncomfortable. Leg kick from Rampage. Again. Rampage took some deep breaths, the crowd boos loudly. Rampage stuffs the takedown lands a knee. No one is getting a title shot after this fight. Neither guyu doing anything. Hamill hangs on to Rampage, backs out. Big knee from Rampage. Nice combo from Rampage. Left hook from Page. Hamill kneels to the ground. My thoughts: Hamill should be put on untelevised prelims. For someone who asked for this fight he looked like absolute garbage. Sorry Matt — nothing against him personally, but that was atrocious.
Rampage said he came into the bout with a fractured hand — this raised the boos from the crowd. Rampage gave himself a “5”.
What a shitty main event. Absolute shit. Hamill was scared to engage and Rampage should have finished him.
