UFC President Dana White comments on the California State Athletic Commission’s handling of the Chael Sonnen case. White calls their sentencing “unfair” and “unjust” and “completely insane”. He also says reporters should look back in history at some of the sentences that have been handed down in boxing over the years.

The CSAC originally ruled to uphold Sonnen’s indefinite suspension and he would not be able to re-apply for a license until May 2012.  However, a day later they admitted they made a mistake and Sonnen would be able to apply for a license next month. He will have to re-appear before the commission and there is no guarantee they will grant him a license.
