KSW 16 took place over the weekend in Gdansk, Poland. The co-main event saw five-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski put it on Pride veteran and MMA journeyman James “The Colossus” Thompson in round one, but gas out and end up getting submitted in round two.
In the main event, U.S. Olympic silver medalist Matt “The Law” Lindland put his veteran skills up against Poland’s Mamed Khalidov and was found wanting. It took Khalidov less than two minutes to leave Lindland in an unconscious heap on the floor, victim of the Pole’s guillotine choke.
