With Thursday’s announcement that Brock Lesnar was off UFC 131, and Shane Carwin would replace him to fight Junior dos Santos in the main event, some other changes have also been made to the June 11 fight card.

Carwin’s original opponent, Jon Olav Einemo, will now face heavyweight knockout artist Dave “Pee Wee” Herman. Both Einemo and Herman are making their UFC debuts.

Herman was originally scheduled to fight Joey Beltran on the card, however, the UFC has signed on Strikeforce veteran Aaron Rosa to make his debut against “The Mexicutioner”.

Rosa is riding a four-fight win streak and spent 2010 picking up those victories bouncing between promotions. He last fought in March 2010, scoring a second round submission win over TUF 10 veteran Abe Wagner at Titan Fighting Championship 17.

Beltran commented on the opponent change via his Facebook page:

“Ok so I got a new opponent his name is Aaron Rosa. He has a totally different skill set than PeeWee but I welcome the challenge.”

UFC 131 is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 11, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Check ProMMAnow.com’s Upcoming Events page for the complete fight card of this and other future events.
