During Wednesday’s Afternoon Press Box, Darren and the boys were joined by unbeaten UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez (9-0) who took a few minutes during a break at the UFC Summit to talk some MMA.

Velasquez, who has been sitting on the sidelines recovering from shoulder surgery, shared his thoughts on the UFC’s new insurance policy that covers injuries that occur in training as well as in the fight itself.

The champ explained where he is in his post-surgery recovery process and said he has been given the green light from his doctor to start training again.

Velasquez compared Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos, and shared his thoughts on Lesnar’s now infamous reaction to getting hit.

Lastly, as the champ is getting ready to tie the knot, he explained which event he was more nervous for, fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world or his upcoming wedding.  Fans can follow Cain on Twitter at @CainMMA.

In addition to talking with Velasquez, the guys delve deeper into the UFC’s new insurance policy. They take a call from a listener who wants to discuss how Velasquez matches up with Lesnar and dos Santos, they discuss Georges St-Pierre’s recent trouble finishing fights, The Ultimate Fighter 13, and a lot more about Lesnar’s ability to morph into a turtle.
