Urijah Faber explains why he will not be forced into fighting his teammate and friend Joseph Benavidez.

FightHubTV’s Marcos Villegas talks with UFC bantamweight Urijah Faber about the origin of his beef with current UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz and why he feels the champ is “just not that cool”.

The guys also discuss Faber’s teammate and fellow UFC 135-pounder Joseph Benavidez. The question arises if he and Benavidez would ever be open to fighting one another. Of course the answer is an emphatic “no” and Faber explains how it is completely different than the Jon JonesRashad Evans situation.

Faber and Cruz will square off for the title on July 2 in Las Vegas at UFC 132. Faber defeated Cruz in a featherweight title fight via first round guillotine choke submission at WEC 26 in March 2007, and remains to this day the only fighter to hold a win over the current UFC 135-pound champ.

If you want to hear Cruz’s side of the story, check out his interview on ProMMAnow.com presents: The Afternoon Press Box with Dominick Cruz. And if you want to hear Benavidez’s take on fighting Faber, we got that covered too: Joseph Benavidez on fighting teammate and friend Urijah Faber.
