In this episode of “Mama’s House”, the women of the Evans family gather at the kitchen table and tell stories about the childhood and rise to prominence of former UFC light heavyweight champion and current number one contender Rashad Evans.

Rashad’s mother, Shirley says the worst thing about Rashad growing up is how he would pester their house guests by trying to wrestle and roughhouse anyone who came through the door. Rashad’s sister say their brother was a bit over-protective and scared  off a few boyfriends.

But it’s the Matriarch of the family, Rashad’s grandmother Lela Mae, who keeps it real like a true O.G. (Original Grandmother). Asked whether or not she enjoyed watching Rashad fight on TV, Ms. Lela Mae said, “Yeah I watched you [Rashad[ at a time or two, then I fell off asleep.”
