World Extreme Cagefighting veteran Manny Tapia (11-4-1) had been on a four-fight losing streak since earning a title shot against then-bantamweight champion Miguel Torres, but he bounced back on March 12 with a unanimous decision win over Bobby Sanchez at Respect in the Cage in Pomona, Calif.

Tapia had to shake off some ring rust in the first round, with his last fight coming in February 2010. However, Tapia took control in the second and dominated the action in round three.

During a four year stint with King of the Cage, Tapia went undefeated in nine fights — with only one draw — before moving on to the WEC. He beat Brandon Foxworth in his debut with the Zuffa-owned promotion and earned a split decision win over current UFC bantamweight Antonio Banuelos.

  1. Manny Tapia won by decision and is considered a high ranked fighter then I’d have to say his opponent Bobby “The Kid” Sanchez gave his comeback a damn good welcome
