After years and years of human evolution bickering and name calling still results in a fight. Thanks to some Twitter insults, Mac Danzig and Donald Cerrone with face off at UFC 131. The card takes place on June 11 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Danzig picked up a desperation win over Joe Stevenson at UFC 124. Before that night, the TUF 6 champion had lost four of his last five fights. He defeated Tommy Speer to win the reality show competition and followed it up with a victory over Mark Bocek at UFC 83.

After being one of the more popular faces in the WEC, Cerrone made his UFC debut against Paul Kelly at UFC 126. After an action-packed round, “Cowboy” finished the fight with a rear-naked choke. Cerrone fought 10 times for the WEC from 2007-2010. During that stretch, he fought the lightweight title twice and won “Fight of the Night” honors five times.

UFC lightweights have not been enjoying the regular level of job security. After Zuffa merged the UFC and the WEC several high profile lightweights have been released to clear roster place.

A heavyweight bout between former champion Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos will headline UFC 131. The pair are currently coaching against each other on the 13th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
