Thirty-six-year-old super heavyweight Bob “The Beast” Sapp will return to action on Friday, March 11, against Stav “Crazy Bear Economou at “Abu Dhabi Fighting Championship: Round 3” at Zayed Sports City in the United Arab Emirates.

Sapp (11-6-1) has been out of action since March 2010 when he submitted Austrian fighter, Sascha Weinpolter (10-3) with a forearm choke at Obracum Ringu 10 in Croatia.

It was “The Beast’s” only fight in 2010 and he had lost three in a row coming into the bout.

Sapp, who is one of the biggest men to ever compete in mixed martial arts, will have a nearly 100-pound weight advantage over Economou (10-1-1).

Economou, or “Crazy Bear” as they call him, is a 24-year-old English heavyweight who won his first six bouts via knockout. He is coming off a draw against UFC and Bellator veteran Neil Grove (10-3-1) at Ultimate MMA Challenge in May of last year.

The “ADFC: Round 3” main event will feature an open-weight title fight between Brazil’s Marcos Oliveira (5-2) and Shamil Abdurahimov (11-1) of Russia. The winner of the fight will not only win the first ever ADFC title belt, but will also take home a 1,000,000 Dirhams grand prize.
