On April 12, 2008, a young 20-year-old man by the name of Jon “Bones” Jones made his professional MMA debut at “Full Force Productions: Untamed 20” in Foxborough, Mass.

Jones’ opponent was a guy by the name of Brad Bernard, and 0-2 fighter from Nashua, N.H.

And while Jones has certainly improved a lot since this fight, it must have been quite obvious to anyone who was sitting in the audience that night, that there was something special about the guy.

This must have especially been true when they witnessed Jones toss Bernard over his head like a sack of potatoes with one of his now-patented suplexes (at the 1:45 mark).

It is interesting and foretelling to hear the commentators compare Jones to Anderson “The Spider” Silva. Little did they know this young phenom would be fighting for the UFC light heavyweight title just three years later.
