COLUMBUS, Ohio — Strikeforce’s number one women’s 135-pound contender, Miesha “Takedown” Tate, has been forced out of her March 5 title shot against champion Marloes Coenen due to a knee injury.

Stepping in for Tate will be undefeated former Marine, Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche (6-0), in what will be her third Strikeforce appearance.

She holds Strikeforce wins over Colleen Schneider via unanimous decision at Challengers 10, and most recently, a third round TKO over Jan Finney this past November at Challengers 12.

Carmouche only turned pro in May 2010, but the win over Finney proved she could hang with a seasoned veteran. However, Marloes Coenen (18-4) is going to be a considerable step up for the Team Hurricane Awesome rookie from San Diego.

Coenen, a submission expert and member of Holland’s Golden Glory, will be making her first title defense since she won the title this past October with a third round armbar submission of defending champ Sarah Kaufman.

Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson” will take place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio and feature a main event with Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante making his first title defense against two-time Olympian Dan Henderson.

The event will air live on Showtime and coincide with the Arnold Sports Festival, the nation’s largest health and fitness expo founded by Arnold Schwarzeneggar.
