Murrieta, CA. – February 15, 2011 – Today Mayor Randon Lane of Murrieta, California will recognize the accomplishments of professional mixed martial arts fighter Dan Henderson and Team Quest MMA & Fitness during a televised proclamation. The City of Murrieta will proudly commend Dan Henderson and Team Quest for their outstanding service, leadership, accomplishments and commitment to area residents by declaring it “Team Quest Day” throughout the city.
According to Mayor Randon Lane, “Murrieta is always striving to encourage excellence in business. Dan Henderson, four time Mixed Martial Arts World Championship holder and co-owner of Team Quest is a perfect example of a quality business that sets the example of excellence, and we are proud to have Team Quest in the City of Murrieta.”
Dan Henderson had this to say, “Words cannot express what an honor it is to be recognized by the city of Murrieta. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a loyal and supportive community.”
Formerly a Greco Roman Wrestler, Dan Henderson is a 5X National Champion. He also honorably represented the United States at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. Henderson has gone on to become a world-renowned mixed martial artist, boasting four international MMA tournaments in three weight divisions. Currently fighting under the Strikeforce banner, Henderson will be competing for the organizations light heavyweight championship title on March 5, 2011, an achievement that could earn him his fifth mixed martial arts world championship win. Henderson also co-owns, teaches and trains out of the Team Quest training facility in Murrieta, California.

Mayor Randon Lane and members of the Murrieta City Council will recognize and celebrate the success of Strikeforce fighter Dan Henderson and Team Quest this evening (February 15, 2011) at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers at Murrieta City Hall.
